Healing from Degenerative Disc
25th May 2025
Three years ago, she began experiencing occasional pain on the left side of her body, running from her spine down to her left hip. Though the pain wasn’t constant, it would flare up whenever she physically exerted herself—whether it was lifting something, standing too long, or even just moving a certain way. It became a frustrating burden, interfering with daily activities and limiting her comfort and freedom.
Concerned, she visited a doctor to find out what was going on. After tests and evaluations, she was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. Though she received treatment options and advice on managing the condition, she was told there was no real cure—only methods to manage the symptoms. From that point on, she lived cautiously, always aware that if she pushed her body too far, the familiar pain on her left side would return.
Despite it all, she continued to trust God. She prayed and believed for healing, even while managing the physical discomfort.
Then came a powerful Sunday service at her church. The atmosphere was filled with worship and expectation. During the service, the senior pastor invited a fellow member of the church to share a remarkable testimony. This man shared how, during his visit to Healing Rooms at Bethel, one of his legs had supernaturally grown to match the other—and with that, every trace of pain he had been experiencing in his body had completely vanished. The testimony was powerful, sincere, and full of hope.
Inspired by what God had done for him, the pastor felt led to make a call to the congregation. He invited anyone who was dealing with pain in their body to come forward, sit in a chair, and have their legs checked. It was a simple step of faith, a symbolic act connected to a deeper work God was doing.
Moved by the testimony and the prompting of the Spirit, she made her way to the front of the church. She sat down in the chair as another church member gently checked her legs. Then they began to pray.
The moment they prayed for her, she felt something shift. After the first prayer, she noticed the pain beginning to ease. There was a tangible difference. They continued praying—once, twice, three times. By the third prayer, the pain that had affected her for years—pain that used to shoot down the left side and reappear whenever she overexerted herself—was completely gone. It had disappeared, just like that.
She stood up from the chair in awe, testing her body, moving around. No pain. No discomfort. Just freedom.
She left that service rejoicing, overwhelmed by the goodness of God. After years of living with a medical diagnosis and coping with recurring pain, she experienced a healing that could only be explained by the hand of God. Her faith had met His power—and everything changed
